Fayyaz Shah, a prominent religious leader known as the Pir of Ranipur, has been apprehended in connection with the Fatima murder case.

In Khairpur, the brutal killing of a young housemaid named Fatima Furiro by a powerful landlord from Ranipur has sparked outrage and prompted action from authorities. Recent developments include the detention of Pir Fayyaz Shah as a co-accused in the murder case. Fatima Furiro, a 10-year-old child worker, suffered heinous sexual assault and torture over an extended period, as indicated by the postmortem report. Her tragic death occurred in Asad Shah's Haveli, and a video of the incident went viral on social media, generating significant online attention.

The influential family initially attempted to downplay the case, but Fayyaz Shah, a prominent spiritual leader, was apprehended while returning from a press conference. During the press conference, he expressed sorrow over Fatima's death and suggested that the deceased's family members were making accusations under political pressure. He called upon IG Sindh and other investigative agencies to conduct a transparent inquiry into the matter.

Fayyaz Shah had initially brought Fatima to his house as domestic help but later handed her over to his daughter, Hina Shah. Shah had previously obtained interim bail from the Sindh High Court Hyderabad bench, while his son-in-law, Pir Asad Shah, was already in police custody. Currently, the daughter and wife of Fayyaz Shah remain at large, and the police are conducting a search operation to locate them.
