"Former Prime Minister Imran Khan was transferred from Attock Jail to Adiala Jail on Tuesday evening, following orders from the Islamabad High Court (IHC). The Islamabad Police used an armored vehicle for the transfer. At the Islamabad Toll Plaza, some individuals were observed showering rose petals on the convoy of vehicles carrying Khan and expressing admiration for his bravery."
"Imran Khan, who serves as the chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has been under judicial remand until October 10 in a case related to the alleged disappearance of a copy of a significant US cypher believed to be connected to a regime change operation in Pakistan. A special court handling this cypher case recently extended Khan's and PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi's judicial remand until October 10. During a hearing, Khan expressed his reluctance to move to Adiala Jail, citing his adaptation to the challenging conditions at Attock Jail. He indicated that he would instruct his lawyers to withdraw his earlier request for a transfer from Attock Jail to Adiala Jail."
"A judge who recently visited Attock Jail reported that Imran Khan was being held in harsh and inhumane conditions. Despite being a former Prime Minister of Pakistan, he was denied proper facilities in the jail. Khan was confined to a small cell with an open washroom, and there was a CCTV camera placed directly above his washroom area. Subsequently, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) ruled that Khan was entitled to better prison conditions and ordered his transfer to Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi. A detailed five-page written order was released to explain why the petition to move Khan from Attock Jail to Adiala Jail had been approved."
"The written order states that because Imran Khan is classified as a better class prisoner, he is entitled to all the privileges and benefits outlined in the Pakistan Prison Rules, including Rule 261. Additionally, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) specified that any request for gym equipment made by Imran Khan's counsel should be submitted to the Superintendent of the Attock Central Jail."
