    Sarah Ahmad, as the Head of the Child Protection and Welfare Bureau, represented Pakistan at a UN conference in New York on September 19, 2023, focusing on violence against children.


    The Global Collaborative and the Republic of Sierra Leone jointly organized a conference to observe November 18 as the UN-declared World Day Against Child Abuse & Violence. During the event, Sarah Ahmad, a recipient of the Tamgh-e-Imtiaz award, highlighted her efforts to support children in Pakistan and discussed strategies for the global protection of children.


    Sarah Ahmad shared on Instagram that she represented Pakistan at a significant international gathering alongside leaders from various countries, including the First Ladies of Turkey and Sierra Leone, focusing on child rights. The event also paid tribute to remarkable survivors of child sexual abuse, including Nadia Jamil.


    Sarah Ahmad mentioned that the Child Protection and Welfare Bureau (CPWB) had successfully rehabilitated over 5000 survivors in the past five years. She expressed gratitude to the state of Pakistan for its support in this endeavor. She also highlighted the pride Pakistan felt as global leaders acknowledged the commendable efforts being made in the country to protect children.
